In a village called Shauro, 74 new believers are baptized in a cattle trough.

A line of people waits to be baptized by theology college student Willie Green in a water trough in the Mberengwa region of Zimbabwe. During the Sunday morning service, 74 people were baptized.

Children help with the baptism by pumping water for over an hour to keep the trough filled with water.

Person after person publicly professes his or her faith in Christ by being baptized in the water trough in Mberengwa.

The group gathers to sing praises between each of the 74 baptisms.

Each person states that he or she has found a new life in Jesus before being baptized.

A group gathers around the water trough to watch the baptisms.

The group walks from the baptism back to the primary school yard where the normal Sunday service is held under several trees.

The church members hang their clothes, wet from the baptisms, out to dry before heading under the trees for the Sunday morning service.

Women enjoy hearing God’s Word following the baptism service.

“The people came proclaiming the Gospel. And then as they were proclaiming I realized something about this church, the Baptist, was a church that would help me live, that would help me become what I needed to be,” said Dhoro Ndlovu following her baptism.
