The entire town, including the market area, was looted. All the food supplies were burned. In the end more than 10,000 people ran from Akot, Sudan, and the surrounding areas to seek shelter in 13 nearby villages.

Kate Ncube hand makes and sells dolls of 17 southern Africa tribes, or people groups. “I enjoy learning about other cultures,” Kate said. “It gives me a lot of insight and helps me understand a person. To understand them, I must understand their culture!”

IWC teams share the Good News through evening rallies, sports, nail painting and more.

Team USA welcomes Team RSA to the International World Changers camp in George, South Africa, where youth from the United States and the Republic of South Africa served side by side.

IWC members keep a positive attitude while battling the freezing cold and frequent rain at a Scripture Union camp near Victoria Bay, South Africa, which served as home base for the group.

IWC participant Ryan Van Der Poll learns about his spiritual gifts during a time of discipleship training. The training happened each day before teams headed out into the communities for ministry.

South African leaders (front to back) Keith Lategan, Liesl Reynolds and Walter Thomas meet at the camp. Three Americans were also part of the leadership team, which worked hard from the planning stages to ensure a spirit of unity.

Participants share encouraging notes with one another through The IWC Encouragram. The South African and American teams bonded very quickly and regularly lifted each other up.
